Overview

Project Summary

Eduphoria is an education technology company based in McKinney, Texas. Their Aware platform provides curriculum management, professional development, and assessment analytics to optimize outcomes for students and teachers. I worked internally with a cross-functional team to design a confidence-rating feature for the Aware app.

The Challenge

The Business Need

Educators needed a way to gather confidence data from students during assessments. Students lacked opportunities to own their learning and provide feedback — which meant teachers couldn't effectively provide individualized intervention when needed, due to a lack of student-level insight.

Approach

The Solution

Working with a team of PMs, engineers, and front-end developers, I designed a solution that allows students to rate their own confidence level at the point of answering each question. The feature was built into the existing test-taking flow and surfaced actionable data in the teacher dashboard.

Outcomes

The Results

50% Increase in Adoption
Subscriber Renewals 2023
Premium Upgrades

Delivering the Student Confidence Rating feature for the Aware app increased software adoption by 50% and boosted subscriber renewals for 2023. After launch, there was a marked increase in premium package upgrades. The feature also laid the groundwork for Eduphoria Homeroom — a suite of student-specific tools coming in a future release.
